India provides scholarships to 200 Nepali students
KATHMANDU: Indian Embassy in Nepal has provided scholarships to a total of two hundred Nepali students under the embassy's India's Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme.
Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri, jointly distributed scholarship certificates to the selected students amidst a programme in the Capital on Friday.
Under this scholarship scheme, selected students are provided with Rs 3,000 to 4,000 per month to study under-graduate courses in Nepali universities and colleges.
Speaking during a program, Foreign Secretary Bairagi said that India has been helping Nepal for the development of human resources in the country.
Likewise, Indian Ambassador Puri stated that such scholarships were an important aspect of Nepal-India relationship.
