Indian assistance for school

Kathmandu, March 3:
Indian ambassador to Nepal, Shiv Shankar Mukherjee, today laid the foundation stone of the Shree Adarsh secondary school at Ratauli in Mahottari district. Meanwhile, an Indian embassy press release issued here stated, “The Indian government will extend financial assistance of NRs 1,88, 31, 217 for construction of the school building, compound wall, science laboratory and library.”
According to the release, an overseeing panel consisting of the chairperson of the school management committee, ex-chairman of the VDC, district education officer and technical officer of Mahottari will supervise the project. Our correspondent from Janakpurdham adds, envoy Mukherjee said the ties of friendship between India and Nepal would never be affected. Mukherjee added that no one could spoil the cultural, political, social, economical and religious relations and friendship between the two countries. The envoy pointed out that such friendship between the two countries existed not only in statecraft and from province to province but also among the people of both nations since the Ramayan era. Mukherjee said India has been backing Nepal in the field of education, health, road and many other sectors.
