INARUWA: Property worth around Rs 1.2 million was destroyed in a fire that gutted four houses in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-2 of Sunsari district on Sunday.

The fire gutted the houses belonging to locals Ram Prasad Sharma, Deep Narayan Sharma, Budh Narayan Sharma and Satya Narayan Sharma at Akaha Bazaar yesterday, According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal at Sunsari District Police Office.

According to police, the fire started from the house belonging to Ram Prasad Sharma and spread to three others.

Police with the help of locals and fire engine doused the fire, DSP Phuyal informed.
