BAJURA, MARCH 2

The Federation of Nepali Journalists Founder Chairman of Bajura and journalist Daya Ram Pandit was taken to Nepalgunj-based health facility for further treatment today.

Pandit was taken to Kolti Primary Health Centre yesterday after he fell and suffered severe injuries while taking the photo of a wooden bridge at Ghattebagar Khola on Sunday. Pandit was at Bichhayan of Himali Rural Municipality to gather information for news.

Police and locals took Pandit to Kolti Primary Health Centre.

Pandit was in the remote area to collect news. He worked in Radio Nepal and Nepal Samacharpatra and was also a central member of Nepal Press Union.

Pandit was taken to Taklakot after minor treatment at Bichhayan Health Post on the same day.

Himali Rural Municipality Chairman Govinda Bahadur Malla said that Pandit was taken to Kolti Primary Health Centre in a vehicle belonging to the rural municipality. He said Pandit received a deep cut on his head and feet.

Dr Raju Raj Jaisi at the health centre said Pandit was referred to a Nepalgunj-based health facility for further treatment.

Pandit has been working in Bajura for the past two decades.
