International camp to be organised at Rara Lake

An international youth convention is scheduled to be held at Rara of Mugu to promote the popular tourist destination eyeing international tourists.

‘Leo International Rara Youth Camp 2018’ is scheduled to hold the three day-camp slated from March 1 to 3. The youth camp aims to promote tourism prospects and the unique culture of Karnali in the international forum.

Camp Manager Bibek Shrestha said as many as 100 youths from across 90 Leo Club member countries are set to attend the convention in Rara.

A total of 100 youths will arrive in Nepal and extend financial support to community schools in Mugu.

“Yoga camp and symposium on poems will also be held in Rara. The youth camp will be inaugurated on March 1 in Nepalgunj and the youths will head to Rara,” said Camp Manager Shrestha.

Leo Nepal Regional Coordinator Shishir Sapkota said they would call on youths from all over the world to support economic advancement of Karnali region besides conservation and tourism promotion in the region.

“As youths from across the globe attend the convention, we will debunk the illusion on remoteness of Karnali and open innovative avenues to lead the region towards prosperity,” said Leo Nepal Regional Coordinator Sapkota.
