RAJBIRAJ: Saptari District Education Officer (DEO) Kedar Tiwari was smeared black on Wednesday while he was sleeping at home during the office hour.

Claiming that Tiwari was frequently absent from work, students affiliated with various political parties smeared tar on the DEO's face.

Bijaya Kumar Yadav, central committee member, TMDP said, "DEO Tiwari was not found in the office at 9:45 am though he had marked presence in the register.

Tiwari reportedly told the staffers that he was out in the field. "We found him sleeping in his house by locking the room from outside," Yadav said.
