Jajarkot school padlocked for embezzlement
JAJARKOT: Agitating parents and students have padlocked a school in Jajarkot district indefinitely for massive fund embezzlement on Monday.
The parents and students of the Punma-based Bijay Secondary School padlocked its administration office since yesterday accusing the headmaster, Nar Bahadur Gharti, of fund embezzlement. Regular classes have been affected after the agitation.
Gharti was also accused of delaying the textbook distribution and the construction of school building as well as of hiding the vacancy announcement for teachers.
However, headmaster Gharti has claimed that he is innocent and said the students and parents were agitated for no reason.
The District Education Office has also said that they are investigating into the issues.
