JHAPA: A man murdered his six-month-old infant son in Birtamod Municipality-2 of Jhapa district.

Dev Das (20) of Birtamod Municipality-2 killed his son Suraj after he strangled the baby with a quilt under the influence of alcohol on Sunday night.

The baby died while undergoing treatment at Birtamod-based B&C Hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office, Birtamod, Khadga Bahadur Khatri.

Police have arrested Das to connection into the case.
