Juvenile detainees injure policemen in Pokhara
POKHARA: Some children at the Juvenile Detention Centre have thrashed three police personnel in Sarangkot of Pokhara in Kaski district on Sunday night.
According to DSP Khadga Bahadur Khatri of the District Police Office, ASI Shamsher Gaire, constables Tilak Ale and Dipendra Joshi have been seriously injured in the incident.
"Gaire has injuries on his head and hands, Ale has wounds on his neck and Joshi on his head," said Khatri.
A team deployed from the DPO had rescued the trio.
Police are yet to inform reasons behind the incident.
A committee under the coordination of Inspector Bishwo Bijay Mahat from Gandaki Zonal Police Office has been formed to investigate into the matter, according to police.
As many as nine police personnel on civvies have been mobilised under the command of ASI at the Centre.
The Centre came into operation some five years ago.
