KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 8

The Koshi Province Chief Parshuram Khapung has appointed Hikmat Kumar Karki as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province this evening.

Likewise, Khapung administered oath of office to the newly-appointed Chief Minister on Friday itself. Khapung appointed Karki, the parliamentary party leader of CPN (UML) Koshi Province Assembly, as per the Article 168 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Likewise, Chief Minister Karki recommended Til Kumar Menyangbo (Limbu) as the Minister for Drinking Water, Irrigation and Energy, Panch Karna Rai as the Minister for Tourism, Forest and Environment and Industry, Agriculture and Cooperative, Yekraj Karki as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development and Srijana Rai as the State Minister for Social Development as per the Article 168 (9) of the Constitution of Nepal.

The Province Chief Khapung administered oath of office to ministers Menyangbo, Rai and Karki. Likewise, Chief Minister Karki administered oath to State Minister Rai.
