Kin of deceased seek relief amount

The families, who lost their members to the April 25 quake, have yet to receive the government’s relief amount in Kavre.
As many as 13 such families of the district, who had lost their members in the April 25 earthquake, have yet to receive the amount though they have filed claims.
Relatives of the deceased have submitted applications for the government relief amount at District Disaster Relief Committee.
Four months have passed since the devastating temblor shook the country, killing thousands after their houses caved-in, but the concerned authority has paid no heed to their families’ concerns.
The critically injured, who died later while undergoing treatment have been identified as Lila Bahadur Bista of Kanshikhanda Municipality, Baburam Damain of Gauribisauna VDC, Tek Prasad Bhandari of Mahadevsthan VDC and Min Kumari Dulal of Baluwapati VDC. Their relatives have submitted applications for the relief amount allocated by the government.
Similarly, the kin of Buddhi Bahadur Sharki, of Panchkhal Municipality, Sabitri Humagain of Kushadevi VDC, Dorjee Tamang of Jaithok VDC, Bishnu Maya Achhami of Chendani VDC, Palung Lama of Kanshikhanda Municipality, Krishna Bahadur Thapa of Balthali VDC, Hom Bahadur Ghorasaine of Baluwapati and Indra Bahadur Syantan of Phalametar VDC have submitted applications for the same. Meanwhile, member secretary as well as local development officer Chiranjibi Timsina said that his office has been investigating the applications. He further informed that his office has been preparing to provide the government relief amount to the families of Damai, Dorjee, Achhami and Thapa.
