King, Queen feted at two places

Gorkha, April 8:

King Gyanendra and Queen Komal received the civic reception offered on behalf of the people

of Gorkha district at a programme organised at Haramtari today.

The district development committee chairman, who is also the chairman of civic reception main committee, Jagat Bahadur Roka, offered the letter of felicitation to the royal couple.

The letter sought protection and preservation of things of historical importance in the district and for fundamental necessities like electricity, road, drinking water, health, education and communication, which are yet to be managed there.

The letter also added that the historical Gorkhali palace, the temple of Mnakamana Mai and other religious spots of the district attract a lot of tourists.

The King and Queen were also felicitated at another programme organised at Parashi today.
