Koirala elected parliamentary party leader of NC in Province 1
INARUWA, MORANG: Rajiv Koirala has been unanimously elected the Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader of Province 1.
A meeting of NC parliamentary party of the province held on Monday in Biratnagar took a decision to this effect.
Koirala was elected unopposed for the post when province members Kedar Karki and Shekhar Chandra Thapa withdrew their candidacies at the last minute, said Secretary Kedar Bhandari of NC, Sunsari.
Koirala was elected State Assembly member from Sunsari Constituency 2 (Kha) in the recently held elections. He is also the President of Sunsari NC.
