KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 15

Health authorities today diagnosed 367 cases of coronavirus infection in the country, including 187 in Kathmandu valley.

With this, Nepal's COVID caseload has reached 817,333, including 798,544 recoveries, 7,311 active cases, and 11,478 deaths.

Of those testing positive for the contagion in the valley today, 126 are from Kathmandu, 43 from Lalitpur, and 18 from Bhaktapur.

Of the others diagnosed with the disease today, 23 are from Morang, 18 from Kailali, 16 each from Kaski and Rupandehi, 12 from Sunsari, 11 from Chitwan, eight from Nawalparasi (East), six each from Jhapa and Dang, five each from Dhanusha, Makawanpur, Tanahun, and Baglung, four from Sindhupalchowk, three each from Bara, Kavrepalanchowk, and Gulmi, two each from Mahottari, Saptari, Nuwakot, Ramechhap, Gorkha, Nawalparasi (West), Banke, and Kanchanpur, and one each from Udayapur, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Dhankuta, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Siraha, Dolakha, Myagdi, Arghakhanchi, Kapilvastu, Bardiya, Rolpa, Dailekh, and Salyan.

As many as 49 people tested positive for antigens today.

The number of active COVID cases in Kathmandu valley is 1,498 - 538 in Lalitpur, 486 in Kathmandu, and 474 in Bhaktapur.

Lalitpur is the only district in Nepal with more than 500 active COVID cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 270 people were discharged from health centres across the country in the past 24 hours after recovering from COVID. So far, 97.7 per cent of COVID patients have recovered in Nepal.

The ministry said 225 COVID patients were in intensive care - 23 in Province 1, two each in Province 2 and Sudurpaschim, 119 in Bagmati, 59 in Gandaki, and 20 in Lumbini. As many as 66 of them are on ventilator support - 13 in Province 1, 40 in Bagmati, 12 in Gandaki, and one in Lumbini.
