Light rain and snowfall are forecasted in various parts of the country tonight, according to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The influence of westerly winds is expected to trigger these weather conditions.
In the Kathmandu Valley, today's maximum temperature reached 17.5 degrees Celsius, with the minimum temperature expected to fall below 3.5 degrees Celsius tonight.
Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti from the division mentioned that the weather in the mountainous regions, including the federal capital Kathmandu Valley, would be partially to generally cloudy tonight.
The forecast predicts light rain in one to two places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, light snowfall is likely in one to two areas of the high hills and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
In the mountainous areas of the Koshi province, one to two places are expected to experience light snowfall tonight.
