BANEPA, KAVREPALANCHOK: A woman was killed on the spot after a bolt of lightning struck her in Bethanchok Rural Municipality-1 of Kavrepalanchok district on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Om Kumari Adhikari (22).

The lightning struck Adhikari killing her on the spot while she was going outside the residence last night, according to the Deputy Superintendent of Police Nabin Raj Rai at the Kavrepalanchok District Police Office.
