Minister for Local Development Dev Gurung today said that local bodies would be formed by the end of this fiscal year.

Inaugurating the 14th Kavre District Council, Gurung said, “The process of forming inclusive and federal interim local bodies will be initiated as per the spirit of the autonomous governing system.”

Saying that the drafting of the budget for the coming fiscal year has begun, Gurung said, “There is a need for agreement among the eight parties for the formation of the local governments. Anarchic forces will get a chance to become active if the alliance breaks,” he said, adding that the Maoists are committed not to break the unity.
