Locals, businessmen boycott Maoist programme
DAMAK: Locals of Gauradaha bazaar, south west of Jhapa district, boycotted a programme organised by the Unified CPN-Maoists today to protest the ‘unconstitutional move’ of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav.

Following the incident, Gauradaha denizens boycotted today’s programme of the UCPN-M. Locals and businessmen conspicuously closed down the market and remained absent in the programme. Security situation had also been beefed up prior to the programme where large number of security personnel were deployed in the area.

Speaking at the programme, CA member Purna Singh Rajbanshi said that factors which were just mere pawns of international pressure were creating anarchy and chaos in the nation. He also accused the other political parties of only being interested in their petty interests rather than developing the nation.
