Low-cost power discussed

Local investment, employing local technologists and using locally-manufactured equipment are the three major components to ensure cheaper hydroelectricity production, experts said.

Speaking at a seminar on ‘possibilities of low cost electricity generation in Nepal, use of national technology, investment and manpower’ organised by the Civil Engineering Students’ Society, in Pulchowk today, speakers said electricity here is one of most expensive in the world.
