DHANKUTA, JANUARY 24
The body of a woman was found buried in the kitchen after her murder at Chharagaun of Dhankuta Municipality.
The deceased has been identified as Sita Shrestha, 52.
It is learnt that her husband Sita Ram Shrestha, 52, murdered his wife and buried her body in the kitchen. Sita had gone missing 25 days ago. Her husband had gone out of contact to search for his missing wife a week later.
Sita Ram admitted to the police that he had buried his wife as she died due to his beating. Police dug the kitchen and recovered the body today.
"The body was decomposed as the woman was killed almost a month ago," said DSP Suraj Karki.
A complaint was filed with District Police Office, Dhankuta, saying that Sita Shrestha had gone missing 20 days ago, according to DSP Karki.
