Man shot, looted in Rautahat’s Lal Bakaiya Bridge

RAUTAHAT: A man was shot and looted by miscreants at Lal Bakaiya Bridge in Rautahat’s Dewahi Gonahi Municipality on Saturday night.

27-year-old Kishor Shah Kanu of Suwarna Pur Rural municipality in Bara District who was passing through the bridge was looted by three unidentified assailants who blocked the bridge and opened fire at Kanu before making off with his wallet, mobile phone and his motorcycle, police informed.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ram Kumar Dani, Kanu has sustained bullet wounds in the left side of his head and is undergoing treatment at Garuda based Healthland hospital.

Meanwhile, a massive manhunt for the three assailants is underway, Dani said.

During the search, the police have found Kanu’s motorcycle parked at the banks of a pond at Dewahi village. However, the miscreants have not been identified yet.
