Kathmandu: The Destination Manang 2004 festival, which was postponed due to Maoist-announced blockade in several parts of the country, will begin on April 12 in Chame, the headquarters of Manang district, the Nepal Tourism Board said on Tuesday.

"A yearlong celebration will be organised to showcase the best and the beautiful destination," states a press release by the NTB.

The Manang Youth Society is organising the festival. "The objective of the festival is to introduce Manang to the traveller seeking a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and a unique cultural experience, and to promote the district. — HNS
