Manipal victims compensated
Pokhara, November 21:
The Manipal Teaching Hospital has provided relief to fami-lies of two victims of the October 20 incident, in which the hospital roof collapsed killing 11 people and injuring 11. Compensation worth Rs 200,000 each was given to families of two persons who were killed in the incident, while Rs 50,000 each was given to families of two persons who were injured.
Regional administrator for the western region Chhabi Bikram Shah gave away cheques worth two lakhs rupees each to Chok Bahadur Khadka, husband of victim Dhanumaya Khadka and Manbir Thapa, husband of victim Kalimaya Magar.
Bishnumaya Adhikari, who was injured in the incident was given a cheque of Rs 50, 000 while on behalf of Padam Bahadur Thapa his father Lila Bahadur Thapa received a cheque worth Rs 50,000.
