Maoists to blame for CA poll delay, says Bijukchhe
Nepalgunj, April 23 :
Chairperson of the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party (NWPP) Narayanman Bijukchhe “Rohit” today alleged that the Maoists were responsible for delaying the constituent assembly polls.
Speaking at a press meet here, Bijukchhe said national and international forces exerted “moral” pressure on PM Girija Prasad Koirala to defer poll date, as the Maoists have devised a strategy for capturing boo-ths. Bijukchhe said the Ma-oists had held several councils of war to finalise a strategy for how to capture booths. Saying that NC did not want the CA polls held until the unification of NC and NC-D, he said, “UML wants to go to the polls after leading the government itself and the Maoists also have the same agenda.”
