Meet Madhes demands or we won’t join govt: Jha

General secretary of the Sadbhavana party, Anil Kumar Jha, has said that his party won’t join the new government if the Madhes issues were not addressed.
He said this at a programme organised by the Sadbhavana party Rautahat in Gauron, Rautahat today to felicitate the constituent assembly members and district level cadres. “Our party will not join the new government till the parties who had earlier decided to stand on the Madhes issues do not keep their word,” Jha said.
Saying that it was meaningless to join the new government in the status quo situation, he said that his party will formally announce its position on this issue after the party meeting. He also said that an environment of confidence should be built after implementing one Madhes one Pradesh and inclusion of Madhesis in all state mechanism.
Stating that the Maoists should go for the unity government, he called on the Maoists to form understanding with other parties. He warned of agitation if the Madhesi problems remained unresolved. He said that the government should create conducive environment for oath taking ceremony of Baban Singh, who was elected in the constituent assembly from Rautahat Constituency No 1.
