Accuses it of showing discriminatory behaviour

RAUTAHAT, MARCH 28

Urban Development and Infrastructure Development Minister Prabhu Sah has accused the provincial government of showing discriminatory behaviour in carrying out development activities.

Laying the foundation stone for a road in Khesahariya bazaar of Madhav Narayan Municipality today, the minister said, "The province government is supposed to pay attention to every aspect in developing places under its jurisdiction, but this is not what is happening in Rautahat Constituency 3."

"Apparently, the province government showed discriminatory behaviour in the case of Khesarahiya-Maulapur road, which is why the federal government had to allocate fund for the road project in the hope that it would benefit people in this region," the minister added.

According to the minister, a tender has already been called for the project.

Leader Upendra Sah criticised the province government for its apathy towards bringing to book the murderer of the priest of local Hanuman temple. "As the murderer hasn't been arrested thus far, it has created an environment of fear among locals, so it's high time the government arrested the guilty behind the crime," he said.

Urban and Infrastructure Development Office Parsa engineer Bibek Nepal said the road project was stipulated to be completed within this fiscal itself.
