CHITWAN: A girl who went missing from Kailashnagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-5 on September 5, has been found dead near a canal close to her house, today.

Six-year-old Smriti Karki had gone missing from her residence two days ago, District Police Office of Chitwan stated.

She was taken to Bharatpur Hospital after being found. However, the hospital pronounced her dead.

Police informed that further investigation is ongoing.
