Gaddhi sworn in as Province 2 CM, Sonal, Yadav get ministries
Janakpurdham, February 15
Provincial Assembly member Mohammad Lal Babu Raut Gaddhi has sworn in as chief minister of Province 2 today.
Governor Ratneshworlal Kayasta administered oath of office and secrecy in the Secretariat of the chief minister today.
Raut took the oath in Hindi language even as the governor administered the same in Nepali.
Similarly, parliamentary party leader from Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal Jitendra Sonal and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal’s Bijaya Kumar Yadav took the oath of office for the posts of ministers.
Sonal was appointed minister for physical infrastructure, social development and forest, agriculture and environment while Yadav was appointed minister for financial affairs and planning.
Chief Minister Raut, who was elected from Constituency 1-A in Parsa, said he would implement plans for the development of Province 2.
“Sustainable plans for good governance, education, health, road, and irrigation will be brought for development,” Raut said.
Chief justice of the High Court Udaya Prakash Chapagain, province Secretary Banshi Raj Poudel, Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal Presidium Coordinator Mahantha Thakur and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, and Provincial Assembly members and chiefs of security departments were present at the oath-taking ceremony.
