KANCHANPUR: A mother of three kids died in a suspected case of mass suicide attempt, leaving her three children fighting for survival.

Meena Bogati (28) a resident of Dharmapur in Daiji-3 of Kanchanpur died on Wednesday night, while undergoing treatment at the Mahakali Zonal Hospital.

She had reportedly consumed milk laced with poison along with her three children ranging from three to five years old.

They were rushed to the hospital by their neighbours. However, Meena died in course of treatment, police Inspector Karna Bahadur Bam of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur informed.

The three kids including one son and two daughters of Meena were taken to Khatima in neighbouring India after treatment was not possible at the Mahakali Zonal Hospital. The condition of Narendra, Jenu and Karuna is reported to be critical.

Meena was leaving with her kids alone, while her husband is in India for employment. The reason behind the incident is yet to be known.

Police are looking into the case.
