Murder accused nabbed
Birgunj, June 10:
Police today disclosed they had arrested a youth allegedly involved in the murder of Nepali Congress general committee member Fulchan Shah.
The Parsa district police office chief told journalists at a press meet that they arrested Rajesh Kumar Kurmi of Bahuarwa Batha VDC at Ranighat in Birgunj yesterday.
Kurmi, however, told the journalists that he was simply an eyewitness to the murder and that he had nothing to do with it.
NC general committee member Shah of Mahuwan VDC was shot dead in Gobar Thalwan of Ramnagari VDC on August 24.
The Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha-Jwala Singh had owned up the murder. Police said three
persons were involved in the murder. Search is on for the JTMM-J district commander Chauhan Singh while another accused, Binod Sahani, was killed a few months back, the police said.
