KATHMANDU, JULY 8
A Nepal Airlines Corporation aircraft is flying to Beijing, China, to ferry Vero cell vaccines, this evening.
A wide-body Airbus A 330 is flying leaving for the Chinese capital to the Covid-19 vaccines purchased by Nepal government of from Sinopharm under a government-to-government agreement with China.
The plane will return to the country with the vaccines tomorrow.
However, the government is not sure regarding the amount of the doses that the flight will be returning with, according to the health ministry.
This is the first flight among the three such flights to Beijing scheduled by the government. The received vaccines is reportedly to be used to inoculate people under 60 years of age.
Nepal has already received 1.8 million doses of Vero cell from the China government under grant assistance on two different occasions.
