Nation to lose all achievement in failure to implement Constitution, warns Minister

BHOJPUR: Minister for Information and Communication Technology Sher Dhan Rai warned that all achievements of past people's democratic movements would be lost if the new Constitution was not implemented.

Speaking at a function organised by the Federation of Nepali Journalists in his home district today, the government spokesperson reiterated that the Constitution endorsed by more than 90 per cent of the lawmakers was the best of the world.

Implementing the historic charters was imperative to protect and promote rights of all ethnic groups, languages, communities and cultures, he added.

Meanwhile, Rai claimed that the government would move toward the path of development and prosperity while implementing the Constitution.

The government also accorded a high priority to reconstruction of the structures damaged by the devastating April 25 earthquake, he added.
