Hospital closed

ITAHARI: Thousands of people in Sunsari’s Duhabi have been deprived of health services after the Lunakarandas Gangadevi Chaudhary Charity Hospital halted its services. Citing scarcity of funds, the hospital ceased to provide services four months ago. People from more than a dozen VDCs in Sunsari and half a dozen of them in Morang have been affected as a result.

Temple gets land

DAMAK: A social worker donated land worth Rs 1 million for the construction of a Kirat temple. Harka Bahadur Tang of Urlabari-2 transferred the ownership of the land to Association for Upliftment of Kirat Religion and Literature, which plans to build a temple at a cost of Rs 10 million. Various donors have provided two katthas of land for the purpose.
