Needle of suspicion at ASI for Dalit’s murder

Kathmandu, December 11:

Kin of a Dalit shoe-maker, Rajesh Bisankhe, filed a complaint at the Metropolitan Police Range Hanumandhoka, yesterday alleging the involvement of an assistant sub inspector and his wife in his murder some nine days ago at Khushibu. In the FIR, the Bisankhe family has identified Assistant Sub Inspector Mahendra Thapa Magar and his wife Harikala Thapa Magar as the prime suspects.

According to Inspector Basundhara Khadka of Metropolitan Police Sector Shohrakhutte, the eyewitnesses claimed that Rajesh fell from a five-storey building in the night and was rushed to Bir Hospital on December 2. However, Suman claimed that the post mortem conducted at the Patan Hospital clearly stated that he was killed using a sharp weapon.

ASI at Metropolitan Police Sector Shorhakhutte Ek Raj Khadka, who was with Rajesh on the day of the incident, said he was with him till 8 pm at a local hotel but did not know where he went after that.

A resident of Nasika-1, Kavre, Bisankhe, used to run a shop in Nayabazar Khushibu.
