The active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal dropped further on Monday as 6,951 more recoveries were reported against 3,370 new infections.
As per the latest data provided by the government, the countrywide total infection count has reached 591,494.
The country also reported the death of 92 Covid-19 positive patients, taking the total death toll to 7,990.
So far, a total of 2,804,574 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,113,080 have received the first dose while only 691,494 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate climbed to 84.2 % on Monday, as opposed to 83.5 % on Sunday and the total number of recoveries in the country as of today is 497,960.
Active Covid-19 caseload now stands at 85,544.
Meanwhile, antigen tests have confirmed 1,102 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests add up to 4,472.

According to the health ministry, 17,903 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, of which 12,002 were PCR tests while 5,901 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,155,064 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
On Sunday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 588,124 with 3,024 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 174 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 3.7 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 157 million people have recovered while more than 13 million cases are still active.
