Local elections: EC decides to print ballot papers at JEMC
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission of Nepal is set to print ballot papers for the local elections at Janak Educational Material Centre (JEMC).
A team comprising of Chief Election Commissioner, Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav, and other office-bearers of the EC visited JEMC and made decision to this effect after holding discussion on various issues including printing of ballot papers.
EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma said that the JEMC is appropriate from all aspects including human resources, quality of printing, security and other technical aspects to carry out the job.
The JEMC has been printing the ballot papers for all elections so far since the 1980 referendum.
