Nationwide power outage for one hour

KATHMANDU: There was an abrupt power outage throughout the country for about an hour on Monday night.

Though the reason behind the obstruction is not clear, officials receiving calls at Nepal Police's hunting line 100 said Nepal Electricity Authority apparently witnessed a technical glitch in its power supply system.

The power supply was restored in many places after by 00:30 am.

While my lights & radio remained on with power backup as electricity fluctuated noticeably a few times, BBC radio turned to white noise. https://t.co/g6ZFt6Vl84
