Nepal welcomed 71,775 international visitors in July, posting a 2.3 per cent year-on-year increase despite the monsoon season, according to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
The latest figures show Nepal received 71,775 international visitor arrivals (IVAs) in July 2026, compared with 70,193 arrivals during the same month last year.
India remained Nepal's largest source market, contributing 23,490 visitors or 32.73 per cent of total arrivals. China ranked second with 11,099 visitors (15.46 per cent), followed by the United States with 7,754 (10.80 per cent), Bangladesh with 4,179 (5.82 per cent), and the United Kingdom with 3,773 visitors (5.26 per cent).
By region, South Asia accounted for the largest share of arrivals at 41.5 per cent, followed by other Asian countries at 24.3 per cent. Europe contributed 12.9 per cent of visitors, the Americas 12.3 per cent, while Oceania accounted for 3.6 per cent. Visitors from other regions made up 3.9 per cent of arrivals, with the Middle East and Africa contributing 1.0 per cent and 0.5 per cent, respectively.
The Nepal Tourism Board said the July figures reflected continued international interest in Nepal and growing momentum in positioning the country as a lifetime travel destination.
