KATHMANDU, AUGUST 19
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 5,024 on Friday as 246 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 994,859 while the death toll remains at 11,990 as no fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 977,845 with 487 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,945 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,621 were PCR tests while 3,324 were antigen tests.
With this, a total of 5,866,929 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 377 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.3%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
