NC candidates win in Triveni Municipality of Bajura

BAJURA: Nepali Congress candidates Ram Singh Rawal and Radhika Sunar have been elected the mayor and deputy mayor respectively in Triveni Municipality of Bajura district on Saturday.

Rawal won the mayoral race garnering 3,365 votes against 2,194 votes obtained by CPN-UML candidate Jung Bahadur Budha.

Simlarly, Sunar secured the post with 3,392 votes while her closest contender Parbati Kumari Thapa of UML garnered 2,070 votes.

In the municipality with total 9 wards, NC achieved victory in 8 wards and CPN Maoist Centre achieved victory in ward no. 6.
