DANG, MAY 26

The Nepali Congress has emerged victorious in the May 13 local poll in Dang.

Of the total 10 local levels, it has secured victory in five levels followed by the CPN-Maoist Centre and the CPN-UML with three and two local levels to their names, respectively.

The UML bagged two mayoral seats in the sub-metropolitan city. Narulal Chaudhary won the post of mayor in Ghorahi sub-metropolis and Huma DC from the same party became deputy mayor.

Likewise, Tikaram Khadka and Syani Chaudhary were elected mayor and deputy mayor in Tulasipur sub-metropolis respectively.

The NC emerged victorious in Lamahi Municipality and secured the seats of chair and vice chair in Rajpur, Dangisharan, Shantinagar and Babai rural municipalities.

The CPN-MC bagged the chairs in Bangalachuli, Rapti and Gadhawa rural municipalities.

The UML emerged victorious in the post of vicechair in Rapti and the NC in Bangalachuli and Gadhawa rural municipalities.
