KATHMANDU: A Nepali housemaid succumbed to her injuries after her Kuwaiti employer hit her on her head with

a bathroom tile in Umm Al-Haiman city of Kuwait, a local newspaper reported today. She is yet to be identified.

According to Al-Seyassah daily, an Operation Theatre of a hospital received a call late on Wednesday informing the doctors that a Nepali maid was critically injured at her sponsor’s house in Umm Al-Haiman. The maid had already died when security officers and paramedics had reached the incident site. The body was immediately taken to the Forensic Department.

The Nepali maid had started working at the house only a month ago.
