Nine found infected with HIV

Syangja, January 10:

Nine out of 80 persons, who underwent an HIV/AIDS test at the Blood Test Lab here recently, were found to be infected with HIV. The Nepal Red Cross Society had conducted the test.

Sources at the lab said 20 to 40 persons visit the lab every day for tests.

Meanwhile, the Sankalpa group, established by 26 HIV-infected persons of Waling, demanded that district-based intellectuals and chiefs of government offices form an effective mechanism to control HIV/AIDS.
