‘No Indian blockade’
NEPALGUNJ: Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato on Friday said the India-Nepal border points were halted due to their agitation, not because of Indian blockade. Speaking to media persons in Nepalgunj on Friday, Mahato said, “The leaders have been trying to defuse our agitation by blaming India of imposing the border blockade. As it is an agitation for our rights, it has drawn the attention of all. Hence, India can’t be an exception,” he argued. He accused the government of supressing their peaceful agitation in Bhairahawa and Birgunj by using unncessary force. Mahato also flayed the constitution saying it was against the Madhesi people. He demanded the issue of citizenship certificate, inclusive representation and territory delineation in federal set up be addressed as per the past agreement.
