NUWAKOT: A person died after he was attacked by his wife's brother in a family scuffle in Thulokimtang village of Meghang Rural Municipality in Nuwakot district today.

Local resident Pratap Singh Tamang (56) was fatally injured in a fight with his brother-in-law Sriman Tamang over a minor dispute yesterday, according to Police Inspector Kailash Bhattarai at the District Police Office (DPO), Nuwakot.

Singh, who had sustained critical head injuries in the fight on Tuesday afternoon, breathed his last this morning while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Trishuli, said police.

Meanwhile, police have held Sriman for further investigation into the case.
