Odd-even rule for public vehicles in Makawanpur

Odd-even number system has been implemented for public vehicles plying Hetauda-Sisneri-Kathmandu and Hetauda-Phakhel-Kathmandu road sections in Makawanpur.

A meeting held at the Office of the Minister of Council of Province 3 yesterday had taken a decision to this effect. Public vehicles with even registration numbers will ply the Hetauda-Phakhel-Kathmandu on even days while those having odd numbers will ply the Hetauda-Sisnery-Kathmandu on odd days.

District Traffic Office, Makawanpur, and transportation entrepreneurs unions have jointly taken the responsibility to implement the system.

The meeting also decided that District Administration Office would coordinate with District Traffic Office, Kathmandu, to implement the decision. Similarly, it has also been decided that road division offices of Kathmandu and Makawanpur would write the letter to contractors to repair the roads within three days.

Chief Minister Dormani Poudel, Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development Keshav Sthapit and CDO Asman Tamang, among others,were present in the meeting.
