Oli pins hopes on UML’s leading role

Nepalgunj, December 8:

CPN-UML standing committee member KP Sharma Oli today said his party would head the next coalition government.

“The UML deserves to form a new coalition government under its leadership for the welfare of the nation because the government has failed in all fronts,” Oli said.

Saying that the new government can not lead the nation to the right direction, he stressed the need of forming a new government — led by his party — by involving the Nepali Congress.

“The People’s Liberation Army combatants are involved in violent incidents in different

parts of the country,” Oli alleged, adding, “Though they are being paid from the state coffer, they come out of their cantonments with arms and spread terror. Even though the government remains as a mute spectator.”

Oli also said that he would contest the post of general secretary of the party in the upcoming eighth general convention.
