Ex-DDC member shot

CHARIKOT: A gang murdered Dal Man Thami, 52, the former DDC member on Friday evening. He had been elected to the DDC as an ilaka member of Dandagaon, Bhimeshwor municipality-1. The family source said Thami was attacked with a khukuri and then shot outside his house where he was listening to the radio. Dhan Kumar, Thami’s son said they found him dead when they came out after hearing gunshots. — HNS

Three security camps

DHANKUTA: The RNA has established three security camps in the Kosi zone to provide security

to the public. The camps established at Dewangunj of Sunsari, Letang of Morang and Basantpur of Tehrathum are under the RNA’s Sri No 2 Brigade. Brigadier general and the chief of the Sri No 2 Brigade Pawan Bahadur Pandey said the camps were set to facilitate actions against Maoists. Similar base camps have been set up in Rangeli and Belbari. — HNS
