TAPLEJUNG: Maoists on Sunday released over 70 teachers of different schools, who were abducted five days ago. According to locals, Maoists had abducted teachers of schools in Nangkholyang, Thechambu, Sikaiya, Dumrise and Tellok for indoctrination. — HNS
Administrator’s visit
DOLPA: Mrigendra Kumar Singh, mid-west regional administrator arrived in the district with a team of high-level security personnel on a visit to Dolpa and Jajarkot on Sunday. Meanwhile, member of the Dang district monitoring committee Amar Bbahadur Dangi submitted his resignation on domestic and health grounds. — HNS
Weekly to resume
DANG: A local weekly, Rapti Samachar, which was shut for the last 16 years, will resume publication from next week under KB Masal’s editorship. The weekly had stopped publication after the administration imprisoned its publisher Ram Prasad Pradeep in 1989. — HNS
‘550 women killed’
Kavre: More than 550 women have been killed throughout the country due to the conflict, according to Amnesty International Nepal (AIN) Group-43. Data regarding the deaths
