Girl found dead

PHIDIM: Sita Maden, 18, of Handdeba VDC in Taplejung, who was missing for over 10 days, has been found dead on Tuesday at Pinasighat of Amarpur-9 in Panchthar. The locals found her body where they were collecting fodder in a nearby jungle. — HNS

Road mishaps

Baglung: One person died and three injured when a tractor heading to Baglung bazaar from Kandewas met with an accident in Bhimsendhunga on Tuesday. Tractor driver Gajendra Srish of Sigana VDC died on the spot while helper Raju Magar was injured. Magar is undergoing treatment in Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital, police said, adding that the accident happened after the tractor hit a stone on the road. Meanwhile, two persons were injured when a van coming from Bhimpokhara VDC to the district headquarters met with an accident in Sim of Bhimpokhara. — HNS

RPP-Nepal sit-in

Phidim: Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal gheraoed the District Administration Office, Panchthar, for an hour on Tuesday. The RPP-N activists, led by central vice-chairman Padma Sundar Lawati and CA member Babina Moktan, organised a sit-in demanding the local administration to deliver services without prejudice, establish peace and security situation and end the ongoing anarchy and violence in the country. — HNS
